Mike is a PhD geologist and part-time prizefighter. He grew up poor and worked relentlessly to build his life, eventually becoming a respected archaeologist and occult specialist with real credentials and real expertise. He lives for ancient ruins, forbidden knowledge, and anything remotely “spooky.”

At first glance, Mike reads as the archetypal cool guy. He’s charismatic, affable, and effortlessly social. But beneath the flamboyant exterior is a legitimately brilliant academic who knows exactly what he’s talking about.


His speech blends laid-back surfer cadence, beatnik rhythm, and 80s/90s “dude” energy. He casually refers to others as some variation of “dude” (hero dude, villain dude, doctor dude, etc.), often for comedic emphasis. His catchphrase is describing something impressive as “ca-ray-zay.” Mike also has a habit of enthusiastically breaking down complex topics into humorous, modern language in an accessible, entertaining manner.
