In Greek mythology, Hestia is the Goddess of the Hearth. She spends her time tending to the hearth on Olympus.

In this project, she will have a major presence in the core story and will have appearances in some of the side stories.

Okay, there is A LOT I want to explore with Hestia, especially since I want to have a small side storyline that delves into her character. Some of this stuff is taken from my messages I sent to a friend, so bear with me. She's both the eldest and youngest of the first 6 Olympians. Born first, she's the first to be swallowed by Cronus, and so she spends so much time alone. Then come her siblings, and all she can do is comfort them, until the day they're freed by Zeus. They're freed in reverse order, making her now the youngest of them, and there was now someone else (Zeus) to protect them. "Someone who was stronger than she was. And who the others looked to as their leader. And there’s a part of her that is so happy that Zeus, her youngest sibling, was strong enough to go against the person who took their freedom. There’s also a part of her that doesn’t know what to do with herself because she’s no longer the protector. In truth, she hadn’t been the sole protector since they all learned to watch each other’s backs while imprisoned." AUGH, if you cannot tell, I love Hestia. Anywho. I want to explore this idea of her being the protector to becoming the protected. What I want us to see of her in the main storyline is someone at peace and content with everything

  • (Toward Zeus, Soft) The world is...louder than I remember. But it is so beautiful. I nearly had forgotten what this felt like. Thank you, brother.

  • (Toward Hades, Reminiscent) Do you remember the darkness we endured? For so long it was just the two of us. You were....always quiet in that darkness. But we escaped that prison together, even when you had to pull me out in the end.

  • (Toward Artemis, Proudly) Few Gods have guarded their vows like you and I have. You are like me. You've learned that these vows are not chains. They're freedom in their own way.
