ׁ ៹ Threads of Fate: A Greek Mythology Project ׅ ੭
Mike Harrison-Wood for Zeus - CLOSED
In Greek mythology, Zeus is the King of the Gods. Upon defeating the Titans, he marries his sister, Hera.
In this project, he will have a major presence in the core story and will have appearances in some of the side stories.
Zeus, in mythology, is a very domineering figure. In a lot of the interpretations that we see of him in modern media, he's portrayed as having a loud, booming voice. While we'd like to see some of this, the main thing I'm interested in is power. Zeus follows his father and grandfather's footsteps in wanting power and control. But with Zeus not fulfilling the legacy of being betrayed by his own child, it opens up a lot more room for growth and development in his character. In this project, he will have moments of vulnerability and weakness. No character is immune to the large wheel of emotions we have, and this includes a character like him.

(Toward Cronus, Angry but Composed) Your reign ends today *father*! No more will my siblings and I have to suffer at your hands.
(Toward Hera, Strained) Be careful my Queen. As direct as your counsel may be, I don't appreciate the accusations that I hear in your tone.
(Toward Athena) Ah. I should have known with you. From my own mind you came after all. Perhaps this is the Fates calling me foolish for not heeding your words sooner.
