ׁ ៹ Threads of Fate: A Greek Mythology Project ׅ ੭
brlsqkng for Hades - OPEN
In Greek mythology, Hades is the King of the Underworld. He primarily spends his time tending to his domain.
In this project, he will have a major presence in the core story and will have appearances in some of the side stories.
Hades has a lot of layers to his character. While I do like the general idea of Hades being a very deadpan and bland character with his personality, I don't like it when that's depicted as his only trait. I like to think he comes off as this way, more as a defense mechanism than his true personality. In his line of work, dealing with the Underworld and the souls, will obviously be a drag on one's personality. It's once again another obvious trauma response, especially when Tartarus and, inevitably, Cronus, are so close to his own domain. In his later storyline with Persephone and Demeter, the plan is to further delve into layers of emotions and vulnerability, and learning to cope with memories and emotions.

(Toward Hermes, A Bit of Humor) Every time I see you, I never am prepared for what you are about to tell me. Perhaps that is why I find your stories amusing, nephew.
(Toward Persephone, Openness) It's as your mother said it. Fate is never how we expect it. Ours was certainly written in a strange way. Perhaps that is why we rule so well together. Though I never could have imagined that the Underworld could feel...so alive.
(Toward Hestia, Contemplative) You understand balance better than most, sister. Life begins with your flame at the hearth, and ends at my gates. I think that is why we always got along so well, even before we knew what the future had in store for us.
