ׁ ៹ Threads of Fate: A Greek Mythology Project ׅ ੭
Jas for Athena - CLOSED
In Greek mythology, Athena is the Goddess of Wisdom.
In this project, she will have a major presence in the core story and will have appearances in some of the side stories.
Athena, as a character, is very strong and professional in most conversations. One thing this project will explore is Zeus' relationships with his children, and one of the main ones includes his relationship with Athena. Her position on Olympus in ToF is similar to that of a captain's 2nd-in-command. Not only is she one of Zeus' first children, but one he claims sole responsibility for creating (despite this being untrue and Metis being involved), she has a high position on Olympus and can generally remain unchallenged by most. But this responsibility does come with weight. One thing I think of is how she and Ares are 2 sides of the same coin, the sword and the shield that Zeus wields, and how they have similarities and differences.

(Toward Ares, Controlled) You have allowed your rage to blind you for too long brother. I see it in your eyes. Whatever issue you have with our father you shall not resolve by defeating me. It will not earn you his attention any more than you already have.
(Toward Poseidon, Pride) Your storms may win some battles, Uncle, but I'm afraid wisdom wins many wars. Your attempts of providing for the people were grand, but you seem to forget yourself in the effort.
(Toward Hera, Conflicted) Queen Hera...may I seek your counsel? You have ruled Olympus far longer than I have walked, and I would value your perspective on...the earlier discussion with father.
