ׁ ៹ Threads of Fate: A Greek Mythology Project ׅ ੭
Bailey Davall (bayleaf.) for Aphrodite - OPEN
In Greek mythology, Aphrodite is the Goddess of Love and Beauty.
In this project, she will have a major presence in the core story and will have appearances in some of the side stories.
Aphrodite in ToF is set to be a very outgoing character, which is a personality that she's built up over time. One thing I want to emphasize, though, is that you can be sensual without being sexual, and that is something I NEED auditioners to keep in mind for her. While she is the Goddess of Love, this love isn't entirely romantic and sexual. It can be platonic, familial, and even self-love. This includes being able to embody all the different types of love and feelings that come from relationships. From this, I like to think of Aphrodite being easily overwhelmed and needing solitude more often than most. Feeling things intensely for so long can make one overstimulated, and so solitude is when she's more vulnerable, or when she's with specific individuals. She wants her public image to others to be strong and unwavering.

(Toward Ares, Teasing) Tell me, Ares, which is more dangerous? Your spear or my smile? Because you conquer cities, and I conquer hearts. Yet somehow we both win.
(Toward Hephaestus) Even Gods cannot force love. *This* was never fair to either of us. But I think you know that by now. Even I cannot create love where it does not live. That is the cruelest truth of all.
(Toward Persephone, Irritated) You grow attached too easily, Persephone. First the world above, now the boy. Adonis is not a prize to be claimed. You have your throne, your kingdom. So must you take my heart as well?
