ׁ ៹ Threads of Fate: A Greek Mythology Project ׅ ੭
Eli_VA for Ares - OPEN
In Greek mythology, Ares is the God of War.
In this project, he will have a major presence in the core story and will have appearances in some of the side stories.
As mentioned in Athena's description, the two of them are 2 sides of the same coin, and part of this is because of Ares' own attempts at living up to Zeus' standards. While she is the sword, Ares is the shield, and you're more likely to throw away your shield in battle before you do so to your blade. Because of the obvious difference in how they're treated, in an attempt to stand out and outperform his sister, Ares often acts intimidating and rough, hoping it'll garner the attention he wants from his father. His anger is a big driver for his actions and behaviors. Of course, I'm not entirely a fan of single-faceted characters, and I want VAs to be able to delve into feelings of weakness and insecurity.

(Toward Hera, Obedient) Mother, let Olympus tremble if it must. I fight for glory. The battlefield respects my strength, and I shall never hold back. Command me, and I promise you that war will follow.
(Toward Athena, Tense) I don't know how father can favor you. Not after all I have done for him. You hide behind your clever little plans, while I charge straight into glory. Overthinking kills the thrill of battle, Athena.
(Toward Zeus, Rage) Do not try and lecture me about war and chaos, father! You praise strategy over courage! Yet strategy means nothing without warriors, and without warriors there is no victory! Without war there is no glory!
