Also! For this role, I gave slightly different voices to each line, so that you can hear a range of voices I could apply to this character. The final of the three is probably my favourite for this one.

30 years old

5'7" — 142 lbs

Villain, supporting role, NPC

Degrasse is one of the three members of The Diatribe, the leading commanders of the Rebel Army. He is a comically angsty figure, leaning into an edgelord aesthetic — complete with a fedora he tips mockingly at the heroes. Within The Diatribe, Degrasse represents ruthless empirical efficiency. He believes society should be structured around intellect and optimization, stripped of sentiment and personality. Convinced of his own intellectual superiority, he condescends to nearly everyone, assuming he is the smartest person in the room at all times.

Degrasse is dry, humorless, and emotionally restrained. Rarely raises his voice, preferring passive-aggressive remarks and razor-edged sarcasm. He takes himself extremely seriously, maintaining a pompous composure regardless of circumstance.

The sides they read from:
  • “My name is Degrasse. I am a member of The Diatribe, the Rebel Army’s leading command. It is a title bestowed upon only an enlightened few. You would need a very high IQ to understand its true implications.”

  • "Tch. Really? Personal insults? So the Queen is deploying a bunch of whiny children now? I guess she’s becoming desperate."

  • “Ignorance is a virus… and the only cure is logic and reason. Imagine what we could accomplish if we didn’t waste our time on feeble pursuits like cooking, sports, or theatre…”
