Valence is a calculating and ruthless tactician who serves as the true architect behind the Rebel Army’s ambitions. Though officially second-in-command, he is the one pulling the strings. He descends from an ancient tribe incapable of practicing traditional magic, a grievance that fuels his long-term plan to conquer Dracanea using forbidden power derived from a demonic source. He views others purely as instruments for his design, believing destiny itself has chosen him to reshape the world.


Valence commands attention effortlessly and possesses a flair for the dramatic, with an aristocratic air to him. Even high-ranking commanders fear him, and expects submission as a given no matter who is talking to him. While undeniably cruel, he is also magnetic. Valence possesses a theatrical charisma, capable of disarming charm and persuasive warmth before revealing the steel beneath. He speaks often of destiny, inevitability, and purpose He also has an unsettling fixation on smiles, frequently instructing others to smile for him. A strong inspiration for his persona and voicing is the song "Red Right Hand" by Nick Cave.
