PREFERABLY A POC (PERSON OF COLOR; SPECIFICALLY OF BLACK DESCENT) TO AUDITION FOR THIS CHARACTER. This character was heavily inspired by Will Smith’s performance in “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.”

Vocal Tone: 21 years old, androgynous, mid-high range 

Delivery: East Coast urban with lots of usage of 90’s slang, carefree, and charismatic

Range: DJ swings between laid-back comic relief and loud intensity, “life of the party”

DJ is the second original character NPC in “The Jax Show” created to be the literal “DJ” for the program. Unlike Mic, they are much more easygoing with the chaos of the circus, even engaging in it with music, dance numbers, and awkward bouts of outdated 90s slang to lighten the mood. DJ wants to ensure that everyone is having a good time. Everyone loves DJ!
