Charm is a spell placed on the King's Wife during the Ceremony, it takes the form of a snake for the most part, tattooed on the King's Wife, generally wrapped around an arm or chest. The spell protects the Wife, materializing if there is any danger, issues a paralyzing bite if there is the threat, including the Wife herself, if she attempts to take her own life and then reports back to the King, who will cast judgement on the victim. Charm's only concern is for charge, and does not seem to care about anything else except for the Wife.
