The younger self of "Professor Codex" in our production (here's the actress for her adult self, for reference https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCLnxYWFbj8).

A sweet girl who is curious about everything, it was clear from the start that Shirley would grow into a woman of genius intellect.  She wishes nothing more than to spend time with her parents, but she learns at a young age that some things just don't work out as planned.

Always her father's girl, she aspired to the fields of science and technology to follow his example, always trying to read some of the advanced lab documentations he had lying around, and barraging him with questions whenever he had time to spend with her.

Her heart yearns for the attention and approval of her mother, however, who grows more and more distant, until her sudden departure.

Her voice should sound like a child/pre-teen ranging from 7 years to 12. It shouldn't be too high pitched, either. Not going for an overly cute or chibi sound here!

  • [Inquisitive]: "Does that stuff really  work like that, Papa? That's so  cool! Will you teach me? I'd love to learn all about ::cutely attempting to pronounce a word here::  ami...neme...a-amin-o ac-ids!

  • [Disappointed, feeling a sense of neglect that is unfamiliar to her]: "Papa? Why won't...why won't Mama look at me, lately? She's in her room most times...she doesn't come out much. Sometimes I hear some stuff when I walk by...I think it's her. She sounds sad sometimes, Papa. I think she's missin something, but I can't tell what...I know  I'm missin' her, though. The old Mama.

Hopefully my voice sounds better this time, but I don't think the audio quality changed much though. Either way, I tried my best! It's up to you whether you like it or not.

It does sound a TAD better, as well as the performance, but the quality is unfortunately still noticeable. I feel it could be an issue down the lane, as this character will probably be involved in a heartfelt flashback or two, and this could potentially dampen the experience. Sorry to say, but thanks for trying. Feel free to have a go at some new roles I open up later down the line, though. Regardless, thanks for your time, and good luck in your future auditions!

Okay! Hopefully, there will be a part that my voice can match with!
