(This is an unconventional role with  heavily distorted/filtered dialogue, but is nevertheless a very key one. ONLY audition if you foresee yourself able to stick around for at least a couple months!)


The current shaper of the gameverse, it is by the Dantalion's processes that the almost every part of the gameverse and all things in it are given form. Or so it is believed...

As an abstract process, the Dantalion only appears/takes form when absolutely necessary to communicate. Although it can take practically any "shape", it only chooses a select few that it has grown fond of.

Cruel, judgemental, and highly narcissistic, the Dantalion is constantly judging an object or entities' beauty (or lack thereof). Though seemingly indifferent to most matters, in it's heart of hearts, it does still have great concern over the fate of the gameverse. The Dantalion's guiding hand over the realm is ever present.

"For without it, there would be no shape or form".

I'm not quite set on a voice range for The Dantalion (or Dantalian if cast to a female), so I'm currently open to most voice types. Just make sure you can pull off your lines with a pompous flair, and a very healthy dose of arrogance. 

  • ::Sarcastically. Feigning concern:: (A half hearted gasp here) "Oh no, no, no! Me? Think I'm better than you? I didn't believe that for a second, it's just...(a sly chuckle here)  ::lowering your voice to a whisper:: "...it's just that I know you're inferior  in most regards."

  • ::Snide:: "That's perfectly fine, you don't have to like me. I like me, and I'm perfect.

I finished the first runthrough, trying to think of every way a narcissist might describe their own perfection. After running through 'smug' to 'matter-of-fact', I couldn't resist trying sinister. This the last pair of lines, which were also incidentally cleaned much more to remove some unwanted background noise.

    Wow, so, this is crazy. Not for nothing, but it's so rare that I get an audition that not only blows me away, but can instantly make me say "Yup, that's the one. THIS is (character)'s voice RIGHT here, without a doubt." Man, thank you. I would LOVE to work with you, lol! All of your auditions were spot on, even for Isaac, whom I've been especially picky about. However, choosing between the two, I've decided I DEFINITELY want you to work as The Datalion, if you've got some spare time for my project. Thanks again, eager to hear from ya!
