Saturday Night Seance New Horror Comedy
Justin30 for David
Young, twenties or thirties intelligent male. Kind, caring and thoughtful. Think Brad Majors from the Rocky Horror Show but a little more emotionally mature, and a bit more shy.
“Sure mom, we’re good.”
“Crossroads Point is just like
we’d hoped… good schools, great parks. And folks here are real neighbourly too.”“We’ve
got Bert and Edna Johnson to our right, they’re retired school teachers and
can’t do enough for us. I think I’ve probably put on a couple of pounds from
Edna’s apple pie already, it’s delicious but she’s way too generous with
her portions. Reckon I’ll need to hit the gym for at least an extra half- hour
each day, haha. Edna’s even promised to give little Charlie some piano lessons,
when he’s old enough. Apparently she used to play for the school assembly. ”“Now Mrs. Jeffries on our left is
a strange old soul, and we only know what Bert and Edna have passed onto us.
She’s a widower who very much keeps herself to herself, despite our attempts to
get to know her. It’s funny, I don’t think that it’s because she’s mean or
unsociable, I get a feeling it’s because she’s scared of something. I don’t
know, maybe she’s taken a funny turn since Malcolm passed. The only time she
seems to smile is when she sees Charlie. I’m not going to give up on her: I’m
planning to take her round some of Catherine’s home-made soup to her. Catherine?
Oh, sure, she’s doing fine. Working really hard in her role at the firm, so
it’s nice that Kelly and Gerry are so welcoming.””Kelly
and Gerry? Oh, mom, I’m sure I’ve mentioned them to you before. They live in the
house directly opposite. Kelly works in the same office as Catherine, and
Gerry’s her husband. He seems a nice enough guy, although I do wish he would
quit asking me who I vote for. He’s a personal trainer, which I guess helps him
get to know folk. In fact, they organise
get-togethers at their place every Saturday night. I’m sure I’ve told you that
before, mom. No, I’m not going tonight.
Why? Jeez, why do we have to go over this? I just… I’m just not as confident in
those social situations as Catherine… she understands that… I freelance so I
can keep that kind of stuff to a minimum. I’m happy to look after Charlie and
earn some money as I do it. Besides, it’s good for Catherine to be able to let
off some steam…sure, I’ll call later. Love you too mom, bye.”David – Of course. You need to try to relax too, Catherine!
Have a great time. I’ve got everything covered here. What are you guys up to
tonight?Further Audition Lines and the full comics can all be found in the Saturday Night Séance Comic found at www.dannyrichard.com
