Hi! Before casting I would just like to know what you use to record with?
I used my phone :'D
I see. I ask because while I like your voice acting, the audio quality is a little rusty. Thats in no way your fault, its just something that can be improved. You could imagine why I would like that fixed, just for the sake of the film quality. Is there a way we could further our conversation where we could discuss recording methods?
Well, i'm not the best at audio editing, i just use audacity, though one or two projects i've been in said someone else would take care of the editing, don't have the money to buy a better mic but i don't mind sending raw files for ppl to attempt to edit it on their end.
Let's try this: assuming that you have an apple device, upload the app "My Memos". If you haven't tried already, find the actual mic in your device and record facing it. Also try recording in a closet or small bathroom when silent. This helps your voice come out more crisp and clear. I specify small bathroom because if its too large it echoes too much.
I use an app, IDK if it has a specific name but it's just "voice recorder" on my phone, there's not much too it like editing tho so i just email it to myself and use audacity to edit. But I can try recording it in my room or bathroom next
