A sort of… self-made puppeteer. Teyama, having long been a tool of the Order of Flame is not exactly antiquated with the social cues of the world around her, frequently getting far too up close and personal with people, and pushing them far out of their comfort zone. She also frequently ignores social taboos, finding little sense in them and seeing them more as annoying obstacles than anything. She is a Sgotor, {Spiderfolk} possessing both humanoid and arachnid-like features. She operates a theater on the outskirts of Kemaija where she uses live human beings as puppets via her webbing and performs with them for empty crowds. She means no harm really, and doesn’t understand her puppets see her as holding them hostage. Speaks with a bit of a lisp.
“And with thiss, your outfit is complete Mss. Diane, don’t you think it’ss sso accurate to the concept of Opiah’s character?”
“Wh-What?.. N-No! I’m not a bad persson, I’m just an artisst! I feed and I housse them all with the finest accomadationss! What more couldsst they want more than five sstar meals and plussh bedding?”
“I thinkss a lot of people ssee me as sstupid, but I am not I assssure you. I have sstudied extenssively on the concepts of the Qumakian Condition in textbookss and journalss.”
So, that's not actually what I think was in mind when we wrote the lisp into Teyama's character, (more of a sthp sound) but I actually really like this different sound to it. The long held s's with a slight pause like she's struggling over it. It would be my pleasure to extend you a Callback for the part of the Teyama and see if this may fit the character better. You can find a bit more info on this in the recent update. In preparing for the additional material, put a bit more of a distinctly short pause or half-breath whenever you see the double s notation we put in for Teyama's lisp and just get in touch with the struggle that Teyama has in having most people thinking she's a savage animal and try to press that in the words she emphasizes and the tone she takes.
