Lara, like Valdemar, has made the switch to become a mage. This meaning she is going blind. In time - she will loose all of her sight but would have gained much more magical knowledge and magic power. But she is very conflicted with the choice, and regrets it every-time she can't see something. 

  • (Wondering) "Wherever did you get that sword?" 

  • (explaining) "Ah, yes, you don't know. You see, I'm a mage, so I'm going blind. So, my blurred vision probably makes that sword look much better to me." 

  • (explaining again) "For example. If someone has more attachments to nature and bodies, they're right for the part of a Necromancer."
