The Dreamers: A Play of Playing
Voxridian for Azuregos
Azuregos is a bittersweet aristocrat. He adores his own supercilious attitude, but has a soft spot for some.
Azuregos: Though I despise those woeful wizards of the hubris habitat, Dalaran [dah'lah'rahn], their marketplace of magic makes reagent collection many leagues less in legwork. Here is my shopping list.
Azuregos: When I had found myself babysitting this icebox, I began opening the archives the ethereal thieves could not crack. Tomes of infinite vision, weapons of mass destruction, and crystals of infinite energy are such a casual collection here.
Azuregos: Call me a prude and I’ll keep in this cave. The poor boy was burned once for falling in love with a ghost, and now I think he’s perpetuating the problem. What has the most sophisticated species of spell casters come to?
Any feedback is greatly appreciated, general even! Edit: I also have a better condenser mic and pro tools to do another take/do final recordings with. I had to make do with today.
Good delivery, and I can imagine you playing a fairly sinister character. There is a small bit of a hiss in your recording, and wonder if you're using a USB mike, or powered microphone. (My take isn't perfect, so please don't think that I'm being rude.)
Thank you! I like to try to "think" like the character, give pauses as if he is thinking how he should say something. And yes, for my audition today I only had a Zoom H2n recorder and usb cable. I think its having a grounding issue. I have an available recording studio with condenser mics and pro tools I can do actual recordings with. I probably should have mentioned that in my intial posting. Also, I heard your audition as well, and I think you have a nice clean voice, which is great for narration!
