Susan was born in America pre-war to a rich American family, she loved the adventures of the Mechanist while growing up, even commissioning a costume of it to be built for her. When the bombs fell she was a teenager and she got just the right dosage while wearing the costume to turn her into a ghoul while it killed the rest of her family. Grief struck she attempted suicide several times before finding she can’t die in certain ways. She eventually found her way to the Necropolis before it was ransacked by the super mutants. She made her way back to her hometown and was shunned by most people, but donning her Mechanist mask they didn’t know she was a ghoul and became a savior of the town until it was destroyed by a raider gang. Again grief-stricken she lived in solitude until a ranger, a synth and an insane doctor found her.
