Tom is one of the most important and mysterious characters in Season 1, he rarely talks except from radio transmission and flashbacks as he is never present, the story of tom is that the now corrupt UNSC staged an abduction by the covenant so they could run spartan augmentations on him but he still tries to make contact with the reserves.
