John's our favorite nerd, and more importantly, he's our protag, our chosen one, that one character that really is just a lil guy, huh?
Please do not just copy the pilot. We want to hear YOUR John.
HC: We love and embrace June and would love to explore her character further as a closeted/pre-transition trans woman. Because of that, we will prioritize transfemme talent but would like to stress that we are still looking for a masculine/androgynous voiceprint. If/when John transitions to June in canon (crosses fingers) and in more original storylines, we'd love to have her voice change with her!
POST-CANON: John's depression, inability to reconcile the excitement of the game with its unsatisfying epilogue, and very real struggles with adulthood is a fascinating theme to me and one I'd love to explore and highlight! Candy and HSBC also finds him at 40-ish year old, so keep that in mind that he could/should sound very different from his lil baby self (and how that can even be a point of further discomfort and dysphoria!)
