1. Base Description of “The King” ‘s Character 

 The King is Dakoda’s alter ego used in his imaginary world known as The Paracosm.

 In this world he is mighty and untouchable but also Kind and Fair.. beloved by all in The Paracosm — at first. 

 As his frustration with reality and his situation mount, so does his cruelty towards his own fictional creation. He unintentionally rewrites himself as the violent villain of his story, maiming and torturing all who get in the way of his coping. 

VOICING “The King”

The King exudes authority, control, and a simmering rage born from grief and disillusionment. Voicing The King requires a shift to a more commanding tone, marked by arrogance, manipulation, and a sense of entitlement. He can also be characterized as very manic! He is prone to fits of hysteria and laughter. 

It is preferred that whom ever voices the King also voices Dakoda, but arrangements might be made if this is found difficult.

Attributes;

• Important to note character is a 12 year old male.
• No Accent Required, preferred no heavy accent at all. 
• Slightly Higher Pitched; Gender doesn't matter when it comes to who voices him due to this but a highish or immature tone needs to be consistent. 
• Slight rasp can be worked in, think Young Simba from Lion King. 
• “ Voice Cracks “ if possible 
• Optional slight Lisp. Not required, can be inconsistent. 
• might sound “stuffy”, not required but can be achieved by holding nose or breath in throat.
• Shrill when yelling and prone to voice cracking, not a huge requirement but a favorable aspect. 
• Overall vibe is going for ‘ menacing with his words, not so much with his voice ‘. Attempting to sound threatening wouldn’t actually be very threatening. 
• Ability to fluctuate a bit due to rapid transitions between his tone. ( quick to anger, ability to sound slurred / delirious)

This is just to give examples of the different types of voices in this general area; again this doesn't mean the voice has to sound like any of these specifically.
