The beloved wife of the late Marshall Bennet. A kind woman who is mainly present in flashbacks, she is met with a mysterious (and perhaps terrible) fate. A statue of her stands in the courtyard of the main building of the cult in her honor.
Fiercely devoted, she supported Marshall in all of his endeavors until the very end when he succumbed to madness. Before she herself disappeared, she took care of their son, Jr, and the Orphaned Circe as if she were her own.
This role will make only a few sporadic appearances, but will evolve over the course of the production from your typical caring Mother, to something more sinister as her ultimate fate is revealed.
Her voice should be kind, yet firm to reflect that of a woman in her late 30s to 40s, not too high-pitched!
[With a soothing voice of concern]: "Sssh, sssh. Now, now, you've been stressing yourself much too much my dear. Why don't you have a seat? I'm here for you, tell me what's on your mind.
[As if coddling a child in a hushed tone, barely above a whisper]: "Now, what would make you think that, Circe? You're just as deserving of a family as anyone else. Happiness doesn't just come upon you, my dear...sometimes you must accept the idea of it first, before it really takes seed in your heart.
[Firm and defiant]: "You won''t find the documents here. He's already left! You sought to take everything from him, and you seek more?! ::spit of disgust:: Leave this place, now!
So, without having listened to your other auditions for roles yet, let me say I am thoroughly impressed. Great voice and performance, I have no doubt that you can really help add more flavor to the production if you'd be willing! If you're interested in a long-term role, shoot me a message.
