Diversity Entertainment 2026 Projects Casting Call
Elizabeth Smith for Hope Stone (LEAD ROLE) (Teen-Sounding)
AMERICAN SOUTHERN ACCENT VA NEEDED
Name: Hope Stone
Age: 15, 18, 22
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Straight
Nationality: American
Hope Stone is a coding and artistic talent unlike any other. However, those two things typically don't go together, at least in the eyes of just about everyone around her, so she doesn't make many friends, but she wants to be seen for EVERYTHING she is. When she meets Mabel Ayling, she sees someone who's willing to accept her and everything that she loves, which turns to ultimately spark something more...
For the teen/young adult version of Hope Stone, I'm looking for a voice that's kinda like the Taissa Farmiga version of the DC Comics character Raven (specifically from the 2020 animated film Justice League Dark: Apokolips War), that can be elevated to where Mabel is a caring mentoring type of best friend to Mabel, as Mabel is trying to find her place in a brand-new country.

(Caring) I had a feeling. You seem like the kind of girl that longs for something... more.
(Reminiscing) I've had times... where I've felt like I haven't belong. I'm... really into coding and painting. Those two things don't really go together, which...
(Happy, With A Smile On Her Face) Yeah. I've seen enough. I'm the... kind of person that doesn't like waiting. If something feels right when it comes to a friendship, I'll just do it.
Good morning, and thank you for taking the time to audition for this Diversity Entertainment project! This decision to dismiss your audition at this stage wasn't taken lightly, but this was the most competitive role I've ever had to cast for, with each auditioner having something distinctive and unique to offer in terms of delivery, personality, and overall quality, that was wonderful to see on full display. Though you were not chosen at this stage, you have talent. You'll find your way, if you're willing to put in the work. Thanks again!
