As you may know, Izuku is the protagonist of the entire series! He's naive, has a strong sense of justice, loveable, and really stupid in our abridged series. We want to play to Izuku's natural charm as a passionate protagonist, but just misguide his passions. For example, in the original series he keeps documents of all quirks he encounters, and can give a full description of its uses. The only difference in our series, is that all of this information will be very inaccurate.

He'll still get the job done, just add a little dumb luck.

  • This is the story of how I became the greatest hero in the world!

  • I'm not gunna be your worthless punching bag Deku forever... Kacchan. I'm... I'm the Deku who always does his best!

  • Having no quirk IS my quirk! I'm a special snowflake! ...at least that's what my mom says... And I love my mom!

Hello! I've noticed a ton of great feedback on other peoples' auditions, so I'll ask for some too. Any feedback on this or my other auditions would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, friend! First off, I'm flattered that you hold my feedback at a high standard! I'm also pleased that you have such interest in the project! I have feedback for ya that should really help you out for this project, and future auditions you do in the future! First off, I love your energy, and I like your ability to do multiple voices as well. 2 things to look out for, however. First is your puffing. There are a few instances where when you talk air makes its way into the microphone. This can be hard to avoid, and just a pop filter sadly won't completely fix it. One thing you can do is try recording with the microphone slightly off center to where you are speaking to. That's an easy fix for the most part, so it shouldn't be much of an issue! The second thing is feedback I received myself when I first started voice acting. It has to do with having the ability to produce many voices. It's not entirely something too detrimental to your auditions per say, but it is a concern that many directors find. When making a single voice, you constantly can fine tune it, and factor in all the techniques required to make the voice stand out from the rest. If you're like me, and have many voices, because you are stretching thin you will provide a multitude of voices that aren't as ironed out as a person who works on one voice. My advice to you is to find one role (just for now!) and really try to just go completely ham on it, and nearly perfect it. Some of your auditions were weaker than others, and its a result of this. Your best was probably Shoto, so an example would be to really sit down and OWN that voice. Once you make it into a project, it's pretty easy to offer your other voices as extras, which can be very helpful (like in this project, I am not planning to cast people who show up for a very short time, because it would be lame to part ways after 1 or 2 episodes) Like I said, I am not saying "Oh all the voices were bad", because I loved the energy and direction you took! I just want you as a fellow voice actor to be mindful of the draw backs of stretching yourself thin. Once you are more established, it becomes much easier for you to perform the other voices, and in turn that will help you strengthen yourself across the board! I hope what I am saying makes sense, and if you need me to elaborate further, I would love to! I hope this helps!!!

Wow, I never really considered that trying to cover different kinds of voices would result in stretching myself thin. I'll definitely do as you suggested, and focus on one voice until I have it nailed. Thank you so much for your feedback!!

I would probably second that recommendation, after listening to all your auditions I found your Shoto to be your best as well, it just felt like you were naturally more able to convey energy in that one! I'd recommend working on that voice and perfecting it as well!
