Takeru

The protagonist of the story. A 16 year old boy who has lost his memory of the last two years, only remembering that he needs to find his older brother, and that suddenly this is not a Japan he recognises. His hand also seems to be embued with some terrible power. In search for answers, and to restore happiness to Japan, he embarks on a journey to overthrow the tyrannical government.

Hopeful and idealistic, Takeru is a natural-born leader. He is charismatic and optimistic throughout the series, a bit like Luffy from One Piece. He also gets angry very easily at sights of people suffering, or at injustice being dealt. Might also be a bit of a battle fanatic, and is definitely more of the act before thinking type.

Context:

1st line: Getting angry and fighting the government officials over injustices.

2nd line: In the same fight, when asked by Makoto how come he was so good at fighting

3rd line: His powers first ignite, in the form of his hand basically catching on fire and turning into lava. This is a power that hurts Takeru to some degree as well.
