Character animators bring the office cast to life. They animate movements, gestures, expressions, and interactions, making each character feel distinct and dynamic. Since this is a mockumentary-style series, character animators also handle reactions for talking-head interviews, comedic timing, and physical humor.

Skills Needed:

• Proficiency in Gacha-style animation and character rigging in Alight Motion, etc.
• Ability to create natural, realistic movements for office settings (typing, walking, gesturing, interacting with props).
• Strong understanding of facial expressions to convey emotions and reactions for comedy or drama.
• Timing sense for humor, reactions, and mockumentary-style pacing.
• Collaboration skills to work with lead animator, background artists, and prop animators.

Responsibilities:

• Animate all main and recurring characters according to the script.
• Ensure each character’s personality is expressed through gestures, posture, and expressions.
• Sync animations with dialogue, sound effects, and background movement.

Style Notes:

• Emphasize comedic timing, pauses, and facial reactions to match the humor of The Office.

Output:

• Fully animated character sequences ready for editing in Alight Motion, etc.
• Variations for close-ups, group shots, office chaos, or special events.

(Note! I don’t have an actual computer where I can animate so I do use alight motion to tween characters, but if I’m able to hire a second animator who uses the same program as the first animator, you 2 will be responsible for animating the characters while I edit the episode.)
