The self-proclaimed "Demon Lord", Ghirahim (pronounced Gear-uh-heem) is our main villain and one of the antagonists of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Possessing a great deal of power, Ghirahim has only one goal in mind: to spread chaos across the many realms and achieve what he believes to be ultimate freedom.

After being banished to the realm of Subspace, Ghirahim returns to exact revenge against the ones who imprisoned him and wages war against Palutena's council, setting into motion the events of the story. Flamboyant yet devilishly cruel, Ghirahim enjoys the art of destruction for fun and values no one's life other than his own.

Ghirahim's mannerisms are relatively complex in terms of voicing him. He's very soft-spoken and regal, but can easily flip on a dime and become power hungry and sadistic. When auditioning, your acting should be able to reflect this.

  • You mean he hasn't told you about me? Oh... that's rich! (laughs) Thinking he could hide his precious daughter from me! FOOL!! 16 years I spent in the realm of shadows, waiting for the day that I might be able to snuff out the light you sentimental creatures cherish so much. To think... after all this time, neither he nor that foolish prince Chrom learned any better.

  • Lord. My name is Lord Ghirahim. I prefer you used my full name, but I'm not fussy.

2nd audition submitted post direction. I feel the new reading has changed the emphasis on the second line (lord, my name is...) so i've rerecorded this too. Hope this is what you were looking for. Also, if it's not too much trouble, I'd love some feedback even if I don't get the part. Thanks.

Much better! I mostly wanted to see if you were able to hit that intensity, so you did an excellent job getting to that level. You really know how to sound intimidating, so great work all around!
