HW Review:
Hey Anthony! Just a heads up, when recording your audio make sure you have your Digital Audio Interface set to MONO to ensure that your recording will be played back through all speakers (or both earbuds). If you record in STEREO and then don't convert the audio to MONO, then your recording will only play out of one speaker (in this case, the audio file is recorded in left stereo, so you voice is only playing out of my left earbud)
This is really important to remember when you are auditioning/recording for projects, as casting directors will often ask for your audio to be in MONO format (unless they request otherwise). MONO is also generally preferred even if it is not explicitly stated in a casting call. It would be good to get into the habit of recording and/or converting your audio to MONO going forward.
Now, onto the actual review! You have a pretty good grasp on your clarity of speech and your breath control. I would love to hear a lot more energy come through in the performance itself. You sprinkle in a bit of enthusiasm a couple of times, but you could add those little bursts of excitement into the read far more often. This would keep the listener more engaged, which is important for a longform script like this.
I can hear that you are pushing your projection a little, but not quite to the extent we're aiming for in this practice. I'd recommend distancing yourself from the mic more and/or turning down your gain (if you have a mic with a gain adjustment) so you can project more confidently without the risk of "peaking" your audio.
Try experimenting more with your energy and keep practicing using your diaphragm to project your voice. Looking forward to hearing how you improve!
TY!
