Kamui, oh Kamui. The almighty deity of the Shadows of Tomorrow universe, the first being to exist. Kamui is effectively the main god of this world, as he is the deity of creation, the ‘Sun’. Kamui is about 3200 years old, a very stoic man. After all, they’re the first to exist. He spent the first 1000 years in complete silence and isolation among the stars, the void he calls home. He created the secondary deities, the ‘Moon’ and ‘Star’, his sisters Theria and Navar. Due to being the first being alive, they don’t really understand a lot of things. Tending to be very practical and cold, but he cares in his own way. Kamui is the deity of creation, while his sisters are the goddess of life and the goddess of chaos/destruction. The years of isolation with the only light being the distant stars has given Kamui a few deformities, mainly blue tinged skin and pale purple hair. His hair itself is liquidy, constantly flowing and adapting to zero gravity. Kamui’s genderfluid (haha pun with his hair being fluid I’m so clever), and is mostly referred to as he or they. But they can shapeshift into a woman if they so choose, after all they can just create whatever they want to have or make a vessel to inhabit if they want to keep their current shape but visit their worlds. He watches over all there is completely alone, always watching. In this sense, until he’s introduced as an interactive character he’ll be the narrator. He’s canonically watching everything transpire, so I thought it’d be cool if we have a bit of an unreliable narrator. He’s extremely biased with his sisters and creations, favoring the Soaars and Gualians over the other kingdoms. Why? He likes dogs and things that can fly. For voice references, he’s very similar in tone to Lene. Very calm and monotone, mildly surprised at times but he seems to have everything under control. References, I’m thinking something like Tsukusa/Moz from Dr. Stone, Shadow the Hedgehog, Tsukasa from Romantic Killer, Rantaro Amani from Danganronpa: Killing Harmony. SLIGHTLY IMPORTANT: I want to try and portray Kamui as neurodivergent coded and socially awkward. I’d love to hear some takes if anyone has their own experiences with these things! He’s awkward and blunt when someone talks to him as an equal, but is trying his best.
