Supporting - Supporting - Martin, going by the codename Clyde, accompanies Bonnie/Linda on this trip. The two are siblings, older librarians from Minnesota. Martin seems sensible, and takes care of his sister but is the more talkative of the two. They share ghost hunting as a hobby. Both seem shy at first.
Clyde withholds the information that Bonnie speaks to the hitchhiker until she becomes irate about missing the turn. Instead of telling Rob, he made the excuse that Bonnie was senile so they wouldnt have to turn back and go home.

Hah well it came pretty easy. We used to play outlaws when we were kids, one time Bonnie stuck up a bank. / Well, no it was an ice cream parlour. But Bonnie was pretending it was a bank and then she ran in, holding her hand like a gun. Told Mrs Gilford it was a stick-up.
