Role in a 2D/3D animated pilot for YouTube.

Petunia is an alien from a dead planet, come to Earth through a time-space wormhole localised in Camden Town, London. With her ragtag friend group of fish-men, robots, holo-people and a 3' long insect larvae (all stranded aliens, like her), Petunia defends the Earth from alien wrong'uns and any other threats that fall through the wormhole.

Emm is an ordinary human, and Petunia's best friend. Emm admires Petunia's confidence and vivacity, Petunia admires Emm's kindness and patience. As the only human in the friend group, Emm is often a voice of empathy, and is often the only person who can keep up and return Petunia's sense of humour.

The project is a 20' animated pilot, with 3D backgrounds and 3D/2D mixed characters. If successful, we would love to continue it as a regular series.

Audition lines are below. Any accents or ethnicities are welcome, though British accents are favoured.

The type of voice acting we're looking for is 'naturalistic', not 'exaggerated'. Think 'feature film', 'theatre' or 'realistic game' rather than 'cartoon' or 'anime'. Please try to work in that style.

Feel free to record one, two, or all of the audition lines, but please don't record more than 3 takes each for any given line. Any format is fine to submit. No AI will be used in the production of this project, and voice role contracts will contain an AI rider to guarantee against data being used for AI training.

  • But the eclipse only lasts a few minutes. After that, the Sun will burn them, right? Drown them. Whatever.

  • Your planet died? Well I'm sorry, I'm sorry but my city is still right here and if surviving it means I become you then I don't want to survive because you didn't even try. We have to try. Wouldn't you have tried?

  • You're an alien? You're all... aliens. Uhm. That's cool.
