If you don't already know who Wave is I'm gonna put her character bio from Sonic Channel for safe keeping.
Sonic Channel:
The Babylon Rogues’ super mechanic, capable of everything from modifying the Extreme Gears to repairing the pirate ship. She is also a renowned strategist, handling information analysis, tactical planning, and even proposals.
Overflowing with confidence in her knowledge, she refuses to acknowledge anyone who doesn’t understand what she says, or anything that she doesn’t agree with. Once she makes up her mind, she is stubborn as a mule.
While she respects Jet as the leader, she also sees him as a somewhat unreliable younger brother.

With wave she's a alto girl just a normal girl who's smart but can
also talk plenty of trash. She sometimes ends up being the mother of the group at time but is also immature herself.
With that I always say look to the Japanese to find some inspiration in it yourself.
