A mysterious detached voice that is the embodiment of The Wanderer’s previous life. They explain the two of them were severed from one another by a great evil force and that when connected, they form one of the powerful Guardians of Firnuvos that have existed since the creator’s time. The Guiding Voice is kind and nurturing and provides wisdom and guidance to The Wanderer as they journey forth to combine the two of them back together. The Guiding Voice can only be heard and seen by The Wanderer due to their inherent connection as the same being.

  • “Patience my soul. You are in a very volatile state right now. We have been struck by a very powerful and wicked magic and it is likely to leave you shaken and poor in judgement. Just listen carefully to my words.”

  • “Guardians are of whatever form we so choose and we may choose new forms any time we wish. One of my closest friends enjoys swapping between a little girl and a fearsome black dragon, and another can’t ever seem to decide what they want. I do wonder what Viyide has gotten themselves up to these years,”

  • “Do not fear! I will protect you my soul. While I cannot manifest on a physical plane with you, I will bless you with my faith and belief. Let it empower you on your journey and keep you going in the bleakest of hours,”

The playfulness in this is really good and something a lot of other auditions seem to have gone a bit short on, so good job in that respect! However, there is a lack of seriousness in the more intense lines of the Voice, which is a significant part of the character. Try really pushing yourself to the most intense you can get and place yourself into a true do or die situation.

If you don't mind taking feedback as well-- the lines were fun to read but there were no emotive directions included with your lines. All I had to go off was a kind and nurturing voice which I tried to get across in all line readings. In future it would really help if you put some direction of how you'd like the delivery of the lines, perhaps would also make casting easier for you :) thanks for your time.

A lot of that can be attributed to Casting Call Club's less than... expansive options. Three lines really honestly isn't much to go off of for a character and often times brief little notes can serve to only make more confusion since they lack the context of the script. Our actual lines and even our callback materials possess both context and directive notes within the margins, so if you do try again and move to that stage, you'll be met with a bit more... professional approach.
