Core Ensemble Members are the heart of The Wrong Radio Show. You’ll perform recurring and rotating characters in live, improvised radio dramas inspired by the Golden Age of Radio. Each show blends structured beats with audience-driven twists, so you’ll need strong improv instincts, a flexible imagination, and a love for bold character work. We are looking for 6 Core Ensemble members.


Core members commit to regular rehearsals, live performances, and participation in ensemble collaboration. This is a co-op style production — your voice helps shape the creative direction of the show.

  • Prepared Piece (1–2 minutes) - Please record a pre-written or prepared piece inspired by the Golden Age of Radio (think noir detectives, western gunslingers, comedic salesman, etc)

  • Improv Prompt (Choose ONE, 1–2 minutes) Option A: A hardboiled detective secretly terrified of cats confronts a femme fatale with a kitten. ● Option B: A fortune teller has lost their crystal ball but must convince a client they can still predict the future.

  • Direction Test: Restart the improv, but this time: ● Whisper everything like it’s a secret, ● OR suddenly decide you’re in love with the imaginary second person.
