Threepio

Threepio, was originally built by young Anakin Skywalker on Tatooine, intended to help his mother with chores. Though he started as a homemade droid with exposed parts, over time he gained a golden plating and became the proper protocol droid we know.

By the era of the New Republic, he serves Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa. For Leia, he often acts as a translator and diplomat’s assistant, helping her in political negotiations. For Luke, he serves more as a companion and support droid, though his skills shine best in diplomacy rather than combat.
