Hoeru is rude, and has a foul mouth. He is impulsive and hard to approach, but a nice person at heart. He is a "straggler" with no family or friends and keeps switching part-time jobs because his unpleasant attitude makes it difficult for him to stay employed at his part-time jobs for a long time.

Since a certain incident in the past, he has lived his life without a wish, thus having no wish he wants to fulfill when he signed the contract with Tegasword. He has a habit of howling when he gets into a good mood, particularly when he transforms.
