We’re an indie game studio looking for a voice actor to record a library of non-lexical vocalizations (grunts, sighs, short exclamations, breaths, chuckles—no full words) for NPC characters.

Scope & Emotional Sets (each across multiple intonations and intensities):

• Greetings – brief acknowledging sounds when the NPC meets the player (e.g., polite hum, soft nod-grunt, light chuckle).
• Farewells – closing/exit sounds (e.g., polite exhale, short “mm”).
• Giving – handing an item (e.g., effort “hm!” / light exertion).
• Informing – indicating explanation without words (e.g., thoughtful “hmm”, confirming “mm-hm” style hum—non-verbal).
• Questioning – uncertainty/doubt (e.g., rising “huh?”, inquisitive hum).
• Approval – positive acknowledgement (e.g., satisfied “mm”, small pleased exhale).
• Disapproval – negative reaction (e.g., “tch”, disappointed exhale).
• Excitement – big reaction to shocking news (e.g., sharp inhale, surprised “oh!”-like non-lexical).
• Funny – reacting to something amusing (e.g., snort, short chuckle).

All sounds must remain non-verbal (no intelligible words).

Requirements

• Clean audio from a home studio or better.
• Ability to deliver variation across multiple takes and intensities.

Deliverables

• Takes: 10 unique variations per category × 3 intensity levels (low/medium/high).

• Format: WAV, 44.1 kHz, 16-bit, mono, no processing (no EQ, compression, or limiting).
