Boyfriend of Julia. He does not want to be on this trip. This is not a vacation for him. He is annoyed, and Type A. He's cautious, and concerned.
To give context for the lines, the first is him arguing with Julia about her not checking the weather as a storm is rolling in while they're on top of a mountain.
The second line is him insisting that Julia not go down a hole that she found.
The third line is him injuring himself after several hours of climbing up a ladder.

Yes you could, and if its a 20 foot drop then the rope doesn't count for shit. I would hurl myself off the cliff to keep you from going down there. We are camping, waiting for the storm to pass, taking a few pictures, and leaving.
