Typical JJJ: a somewhat narcissistic, definitely sarcastic, pessimistic individual who is very set in his ways. Since the beginning of vigilantism in New York city, he's had a specific distaste for one vigilante above all else: Spider-Man; and it's even worse now that there's 2 of them. But if there's one thing he values more than defaming Spider-Man, it's making sure he's running the best newspaper in all of New York.

"Who is Spider-Man? He's a CRIMINAL, that's who he is! A vigilante... a public menace! What's he doing on my front page!?"

Jameson, frustrated after no one seems to be able to get more pictures of Spider-Man for his paper:

"Put an ad on the front page: cash money for pictures of Spider-Man! He doesn't wanna be famous? Then I'll make him INFAMOUS!"
