The Beggar Woman appears in a key flashback set in medieval Britain. She is an older, mysterious figure, ragged and outcast, who offers a cure for a dying child.
Though she appears only briefly, her role is symbolic and powerful; straddling the line between healer, prophet, and omen. She may return in visions, echoes, or voiceovers across future episodes, embodying old magic and forgotten knowledge.
This role requires strong emotional delivery, subtle menace or compassion, and the ability to portray a character shaped by hardship and secrecy. A grounded, era-appropriate voice is essential.
Actors with a natural texture or rasp in their voice or the ability to portray age authentically are encouraged to audition.
