Oka Ruto was raised in a deeply spiritual household. Her parents are professional “spiritual consultants” they run a business offering services like exorcisms, séances, spirit channeling, and supernatural advice. While skeptics call them frauds, they genuinely believe in the paranormal and view their work as a sacred mission.

From a young age, Oka accompanied her parents on travels across Japan, visiting places rumored to be haunted not as a tourist, but as part of their work. One of their most significant trips was to an abandoned insane asylum in Buraza Town, said to be haunted by the vengeful spirit of a man who preyed on women and was ultimately murdered by one of his victims.

During their visit, something happened. Oka became separated from her parents and found herself alone inside the asylum. In a dark hallway, she experienced something she cannot explain: a whisper in a voice that was not human, cold air despite summer heat, the feeling of being watched and a fleeting glimpse of something with empty eyes.

Her parents told her she had probably just frightened herself, and that she was too young to feel supernatural forces. That belief must be stronger than fear. But Oka was convinced she had encountered a genuine supernatural entity, and that moment solidified her beliefs forever.
