A recent transfer to the GCPD from Chicago, Jim Corrigan's a young detective looking to make a name for himself. He's a bit old-fashioned in his tastes and ideals, while wanting to be a cool, hard-boiled character like Sam Spade or Phillip Marlowe. 

Unbeknownst to Corrigan, forces far beyond the mortal realm have already taken an interest in him-- and are very interested in making sure he meets his appointed destiny...
