Cutthroats and highwaymen who lurk in the wilderness, preying on travelers and merchants. Some are brutish thugs who rely on sheer intimidation, while others are sly, opportunistic rats who prefer trickery over brute force. They have no loyalty except to coin, and even their own comrades aren’t safe if the reward is high enough.

Either a rough, guttural growl (for the brutish types) or a sneering, nasal whine (for the weaselly ones), always with an edge of menace—imagine a man who’s just as likely to slit your throat as laugh in your face.
