It Was Obvious - Animated-Indie Short Film
Stephen Bryson for Jason Jeong - Lead
JASON is one of the main lead roles in my animated-indie short film It Was Obvious.
PERSONALITY - Jason, unlike David, is a very shy nervous character. He is also the city's superhero. He is smart, quick, but not the brightest. He is fighting both externally and internally and struggles to hide a big lie. He gets anxious whenever someone speculates the topic. He shows emotions of confidence, feeling upset and frustration.
CHARACTER - Jason is best friends' with David. He is actually considered to be quite popular among his peers although despite disliking the attention. He is also 12-13 years old. When he's in-costume he is seen to be more confident in his words and actions. He also is a nerd for things like comics, sports and music. He is also Korean-American however, once again, an accent is not required due to him growing up in America.
VOICE - For Jason's voice, I think he would have a voice that is capable of showing his hidden emotions and subtext to his words. How he's smart but also awkward. Being able to show words of energy in-action and also his anxiousness of telling the truth. He hesitates and mumbles/stutters a lot when he lies or gets nervous. He also has an expressive range of emotions of being awkward to the boldness of fighting monsters. Also youthful and NOT FULLY deepened due to his age EXAGGERATE YOUR EXPRESSIONS!! HAVE FUN!
