About: Jamila is a 15-year-old sophomore who’s developed a “pick me” attitude as a survival tactic. She craves male attention to mask deep emotional scars from being assaulted young, living with a drug-addicted mom and a bitter, jealous aunt. She’s loud, flirty, and messy—but under all that, she’s scared and desperate to be loved. She is also a part of the track team at Strugwood.
