A byproduct of interspecies mingling between a human mother and an alien mother, his alien mother being a bio-mechanical engineer. Raised in a very comfortable, but sheltered life. Williams gained secrets, plenty, during his youth. Careful with his words, Williams does his best to never show who he real is inside. Lacks confidence. During the evacuation, William adds another secret to his collection.
[CLARIFYING] "Right, Sorry. So, I prepared my own body’s organic computer to merge with the ship. But I needed to physically link-in. This ensured that nobody but me or another ‘Enhanc-Ingeer’ could speak directly with the Pioneer. When we merged, it was like purple and gold webs were mingling. In a second we were connected, and I could feel everything the ship felt. And what we felt [Pause] it was the worst pain I’ve ever felt. Like thousands of needles piercing every pore in your body."
[REGRETFUL] "I didn’t want to leave her to die alone, but I couldn’t save her, we both knew that. But we can save our passengers. And that’s what we did, what we tried to do anyway."
