Sonic is the living definition of a free spirit. He fights for what he believes is right, finding thrill and excitement in the riskiest of moments. Through his adventures he has left a mark in many people's lives, specially in the friends he's met through them, because, even if he enjoys danger, the bonds he's made are what really push him in the worst of situations. In this story, Sonic is defeated and captured, his friends thinking he died, until they accidentally free him six months later during a raid on the Death Egg. Sonic finds himself in a position where his nemesis, Doctor Ivo Robotnik (better Known as Eggman), has conquered the world. Therefore, Sonic joins the Resistance, a group leaded by some of his closest friends to fight against the Eggman Empire.
