Pronunciation: Jay (bro deadass?) Halloway (h-AH-Lo-waE)

Role: Supporting Lead / Zane's #1

Description: Jay is Zane’s closest friend. He was the first person Zane turned to when Tess went missing, and he’s the one who first encouraged Zane to investigate. Over time, though, Jay grew weary of Zane’s obsessive pursuit of answers and started to pull away. Jay loves Zane like a brother, but he feels torn between staying loyal and protecting his peace. His internal conflict will become key when he’s forced to confront the truth about what happened to Tess and the group’s involvement. He often visits his friend Skye for help.

Personality: Jay is level-headed, easygoing, and a bit of a realist. He’s the type of person who wants to avoid drama and would rather let things slide than rock the boat. His loyalty to Zane is unwavering, but his growing frustration with Zane’s investigation leads to tension between them. Jay’s arc will see him struggle with the weight of keeping secrets, especially when he’s eventually forced to face the truth.

  • “I wanted to believe you. I really did. But every time we got close to something, it felt like you were spiraling. I thought… I thought I was helping you by pulling back.”

  • “It’s not about giving up. It’s about knowing when to stop before it ruins you.”

thanks for the auditions. quick reminder that I'm not accepting or denying atm, just sending feedback

your voices sound great with emotion and what not, and genuinely isn't much to say. If there's one thing that I could comment on however, some of your sentences sound a little robotic. I'm not necessarily sure how to explain it, but most of your lines sound very emotion like, especially with your audition for Jay. Sometimes within those lines, there's just deadspots.

if you replay them back, you'll know what I mean, but overall great work.

join the discord if you haven't already to stay up to date with me and others. I'll be staying in touch with auditioners as much as I can

Yeah, I'm still a bit of an amateur in my work lol. I do appreciate the comments, I'll take it into account next time I submit an audition. If you had any pointers I'd be glad to accept any and all advice, I typically inflict better from method performance, so sometimes I can peter out a little, but I'm always striving to improve!
