THE TARGET - Lead Male Voice Actor + Supporting roles (Audio Drama/Audio Roleplay)
Baby Cakes for Sean Prescott
Male character, 20s to early 30s.
Voice should feel natural, warm, and emotionally grounded, with the ability to shift between introspective narration and heartfelt dialogue.
Sean is a college student at a small-town college in Pennsylvania, where he’s also the captain of the Black Falcons, the school’s football team. The story is told through his voice, intimate, reflective, and often directly addressed to the listener, who is part of the Deaf community and someone Sean once deeply loved.
This is a cinematic audio drama with a strong emotional arc. The actor must be comfortable performing both narration and emotionally intense scenes, including tender, romantic, and vulnerable moments.
Keep in mind: This is a cinematic, character-driven story — not an animated or theatrical piece.
Please aim for a grounded, natural performance, similar to what you’d hear in films like Normal People, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Call Me by Your Name or The Social Network.
Avoid cartoonish or overly exaggerated deliveries.
Think subtle, real, and genuine — like you're speaking to someone right in front of you.

Thank you so much for the opportunity! I had a really great time trying to bring the real, grounded approach to Sean you were after and hope it is to your liking. This is completely raw audio with only unnecessary breaths and large gaps removed. The noisefloor of my booth is about -60 dB. Please let me know if you have any further questions and thank you again!
Hi there!Thank you for your submission. You have a lot of talent, and the scenes were well performed. The background noise is practically nonexistent and the audio is very clean, which is really appreciated. That said, you speak extremely fast, it felt a bit like listening to an audiobook at 1.5x speed. For listeners who process things more slowly, that can be a bit challenging, so I’d recommend slowing down a bit and allowing more breath and space within the scene.I’ll get back to you once a decision has been made!
Thank you so much! I haven't been able to secure very many roles yet, so your words mean a lot to mean and I genuinely appreciate them a great deal. I haven't had much practice in this type of performance and I have been told I can speak too quickly before, so I will certainly be mindful of that going forward.
Hi there! Thanks again for your audition.I really liked your acting and your voice, but we’ve decided to go with a profile that’s a better fit for this particular character.Thank you all the same for your interest and please don’t hesitate to audition for future roles. We’d be happy to hear from you again!
Of course! Thank you for the opportunity. I'll definitely be on the lookout for future casting calls and if you have need of anything, please reach out!
